If the running balance on the QuickBooks Register (Dashboard > Accounting > Chart of Accounts > View Register) is not showing or showing N/A:
1) It is possible it’s being sorted by something other than Date column. It needs to be sorted by Date column to show running balance in QBO register. Click on the Date column so it has the arrow on top of it and you should get your running balance column back.
2) Check the small icon in the register, make sure Running Balance is checked as a column.
3) Maybe it’s just hidden on the screen. In that case, click the “triple-bar” icon button next to the company name, to collapse left Dashboard. That will expand the register screen. Or try to reduce screen zoom on your browser (Ctrl – on the keyboard).
