Hi – In QB forum you talked about using Category to track inventory by location. And you said – but I don’t recommend that approach – Why not? What are the pitfalls?
My biz has same product at locations and need to track by location.

As a workaround option, if you have limited inventory items and a good handle on tracking inventories in QBO, this might work. However, I am not sure Intuit designed the Product Categories to be used for location tracking purposes. Besides, no one knows their product release plans. In the long run, how would this affect if they release inventory tracking by location feature?
