My Independent Contractor is now a new Employee. How do I add as an Employee? QuickBooks is not allowing me to add as a new Employee. It’s saying already exists as a vendor.
In QuickBooks, they don’t allow you to have two names exactly the same. So, you will have to edit/change Vendor Name slightly so it can be different. Normally, you just add a (V) to the Vendor Name.
Example, James Brown (V)
It’s also a good idea to make this name inactive from the Vendor List as well.
